"Twelve Months of Flowers"was an elaborate foliovolume produced in the grand manner and containing twelvevery handsome plates engraved by Henry Flecher after painrings by Peter Casteels and "coloured to life ".

It is not onlya record of eighteen century flowers, but the plates also inaugurated a new type of flower arrangement in England, although for more than thurty years fashionable in France.Flower from Furber's nursery stock and characterristic of thetwelve months of the year are displayed, arranged in as manysilver-gilt bowls elaborately embossed.

Reduced versions of Furber's flower-prints were popularfor more than three anxious to exoloit their decorative valuethere was no adequate copyright protection in those days and
none at all before 1733.

To collectors more than two centuries later this folioset up flower-prints holds greater appeal than most others ofthe eighteen century.

Robert Furber/

「sold by Philp Overton at the Golden Buck near st Dunstons Church Fleetstreet And Iohn King at thr Glove in the Poultrey」

(The Guild Church of St Dunstan-in-the-West)のそばで「The Golden Back」という屋号で活動をしていました。
